Recently launched women’s team Gibraltar Wave have partnered with Fanbase. This  was announced this week by Both.
In an announcement issued by fanbase on Monday its stated, “We are delighted to announce the launch of our latest partnership with Gibraltar Wave of the Gibraltar Women’s Football League.
Fans will soon have access to a brand new Gibraltar Wave Fanbase App on either their mobile device or computer, featuring a range of digital solutions including Digital Ticketing, content and more.
By adopting Fanbase technology, the Wave will have the opportunity to collect data such as email addresses from fans in a GDPR compliant manner, allowing them to be better engaged with the club in the future with relevant information about Season Tickets or important news.
We will be working together over the next couple of months to focus on how we can help both locals and the average yearly eleven million tourists be better engaged with the club through Fanbase.
John Gontier of Gibraltar Wave commented “In my keen desire to foment female involvement in Gibraltar football for its contribution to physical and mental well being while providing opportunities for team-building and to compete, I’m convinced digitalisation can play a catalytic role by providing new revenue and value-producing opportunities. I’m blessed to have come across Fanbase, after much searching, to accompany and lead us to our goal.”
Fanbase Co-founder Alasdair Crawley commented “It was pure luck that we got to meet John and it’s been fantastic to get to know him, his vast experience and his innovative vision for Gibraltar Wave. We’re very excited about how we can help Gibraltar Wave grow into an established force over the coming years.”
The Fanbase app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices.”
Fanbaseclub.com is among one of the rising football fan base techs which has this summer assisted fans trying to watch the Euros and assisting fans from linking up. The platform has received extensive media coverage across the U.K. national media. The Edinburgh-based start-up is reported to have secured investment from a number of high profile business figures and entrepreneurs as its software captures the interests of fans through its mobile ticketing and fan experience.
